About Me
Hello
all! I am so glad to see you've taken interest in
what I have to offer you and your hair! I would
like to take this opportunity to tell you a little
more about myself.
I currently reside in Griswold with my two pups.
My journey as a hairdresser had a very unlikely
beginning. I was enlisted in the Army National Guard
for 8 years, in which I was a carpenter/mason, and
also a company driver (I drove a 5-ton dump truck
named Fiona). I definitely embraced my inner tom-boy!
Coincidently though, I found myself cutting everyone's
hair, men and women alike, which was nice, because
it made us feel like we were still unique and beautiful,
even though we all looked the same in uniform.
Upon return from a life-changing deployment to Iraq,
I decided to re-evaluate my life and my future goals.
It didn't take long for me to realize that I truly
wanted to make a change. Growing up, I always had
an artistic eye, and a habit of always being the
girl who was trying a new unique style or color
trend. After some reflection, I enrolled myself
in Albert's School of Cosmotology, in Niantic.
One year, and lots of hard work later, I was graduated
and working for Shear Madness, in Old Saybrook.
Due to the long commute, I relocated to Tangles
Salon in Norwich soon after. I worked at Tangles
for 3 years, and on November 1st, 2008, I started
my own independent business running out of Salon
Studios. I would be honored to have the opportunity
to gain your trust and give you exactly what you're
looking for.
